Resilience
Lire ce billet en français →The human species has an enormous capacity for resilience and adaptation.
This resilience is obtained by different means, depending on individuals and circumstances. In case of change, some dive into the change, trying to get as much out of it as possible. Others want at all costs to go back exactly as it was before. After experiencing a trauma, some repress these events, almost believing they never happened, while others think about them constantly.
Those who repress, avoid, circumvent, don’t always succeed, but sometimes, that was the very intention of the one behind the change. No need to have been brainwashed to pretend nothing happened, and some profiteers know it all too well.
