Livestock produces 18 to 40% of humanity’s greenhouse gases. The exact number is hard to determine, but everyone agrees it’s far from negligible, and more important than transportation.

And the worst part is that we don’t even use all the production. We waste enormously, and what isn’t wasted is often unnecessary.

We eat too much meat. So humanity, for economic reasons, has decided to sacrifice the health of its Earth, to be in worse health (because eating too much meat is bad for health).

Looking at the whole picture, nothing makes sense. Yet, everything suggests we’ll continue in this direction, until our effect on the environment ends up killing us, thus leaving the Earth alone.
