The end of the world has been falsely predicted several times. Always “crazy people” who lock themselves up or wait for their salvation.
Yet, when one of these crazy people is right, he could well be the last survivor of the species, passing his acute paranoia to his descendants. Maybe this has already happened once?
A small paranoid family would have escaped a global natural catastrophe, like a gigantic meteorite, giving all their descendants this seed of paranoia?
