Bunker

In the north of our Earth, near the North Pole, there’s a bunker (called the “Global Seed Vault”). But not just any bunker, since it contains all the life we can preserve in a bunker, which is climate-controlled to a perfect temperature to preserve everything for decades, even centuries. It contains seeds. Tons and tons of seeds. If there were ever a planetary catastrophe, we could revive all these extinct species… Given that humanity will probably cause this catastrophe, it’s the least it can do for this Earth that gave it life.

The same project was proposed for animals, but freezing them alive causes some ethical problems, especially because most animals die when frozen, making thawing impossible, regardless of whether we find some technology later or not.
